Thread Lift

No cuts or incisions. This treatment is done purely with injections.

The Thread Lift is a procedure which rejuvenates, regenerates and improves the structure of the face, using specialised threads. The threads are made of soluble Polydioxanone (PDO), a material that has been used in medicine for many years, mainly in surgery. They are introduced into the skin using a very fine needle.

​

Depending on the area being treated, the thread is introduced into the skin itself, the subcutaneous fat, or the muscle. A lifted appearance can be seen immediately following the treatment; however, the results will improve in the following weeks as the PDO stimulates collagen. The texture of the skin is improved; it becomes tighter and firmer, and fine lines and wrinkles are smoothed away.

The threads are naturally absorbed into the body in six to eight months, however, the effect of the treatment will last up to two years.

 

Which areas can be treated?

 

The threads are extremely versatile, and can be used all over the face and neck. The Thread Lift can treat vertical and horizontal wrinkles on the forehead, sagging brows, drooping cheeks, nasolabial (nose to mouth) and marionette (corner of mouth to chin) folds and sagging jawline, neck and chin.

 

Prices for the Thread Lift vary depending on the area of the face being treated.

 

Underarm Sweating

 

Excessive underarm sweating, or axillary hyperhidrosis, is a problem which causes discomfort, embarrassment and self-consciousness to many people. When used in small doses, pure Botulinum Toxin can be an extremely effective treatment for hyperhidrosis. A very fine needle is used to inject tiny amounts of the toxin under the skin every 1 to 2cm of the affected area.

 

How it works

 

Using a very fine needle, the Aesthetic Nurse will administer tiny amounts of Botulinum Toxin ever 1 to 2cm in the area affected. As the sweat glands are in the skin itself, injections of Botulinum Toxin into the skin causes impulses from the nervous system to be blocked, which inhibits sweating in that area.

 

The amount of sweating is reduced by three or four times, that which you sweat normally. This large reduction usually results in a patient going from an unacceptable level of sweating to a very small amount, which is easily coped with.

 

Results can last up to 7 months. With subsequent treatment sessions, results can last longer.

Treatment of underarm sweating costs £450.

Sclerotherapy

 

Thread veins, or ‘spider veins’ are small veins in the skin which commonly appear on the legs and face. They are frequently seen on and around the nose, resulting in a ‘ruddy’ look to the complexion. Although they are not harmful, their visibility can cause self-consciousness and embarrassment to both men and women, with many resorting to wearing layers of makeup or to completely change the way they dress in an effort to cover them up.

 

Sclerotherapy is the most successful medical treatment for thread veins. It is a well established medical procedure which has actually been practiced since the 1920s, and can be used to completely eliminate thread veins from the legs and face.

 

How it works

 

A very fine needle is inserted into the vein and an injection of sclerosing agent is administered. The sclerosing agent causes the capillary walls to shrink together, preventing blood from flowing through them. This causes the thread veins to become less visible. Eventually, after a series of treatments, the vessels will close down completely and the thread veins will disappear.

Lip Enhancement

 

Beautifully defined, full lips are considered to be one of the most attractive facial features, but few of us are lucky enough to be blessed with them. Our lips also lose volume as we age, making them appear thinner and lose definitions around the border and cupid’s bow.

 

At The Evergreen Clinic, we use a range of different dermal fillers to treat the lips and the area around them. Fillers can be used to add or restore fullness to the lips, to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth, and to create more definition to the cupid’s bow, philtrum and border.

 

If you are concerned about pain, please be advised that we carry out a full dental block prior to the treatment in order to make it as comfortable as possible for you.

 

Juvederm ULTRA SMILE

This is one of the most popular dermal fillers used for lip enhancement as it has been specifically designed to treat the lips. It is a smooth gel, so creates a very natural result. It also contains lidocaine, a local anaesthetic, which makes treatment more comfortable.

 

Juvederm VOLBELLA

This is a new product in the Juvederm range which is designed for treatment to the lips and around the mouth. Because it is so smooth and soft, Volbella causes significantly less swelling post-treatment. IT can also last for up to 12 months.

 

Dermal Fillers

 

As part of the ageing process, lines and wrinkles naturally occur. This is mainly due to the levels of collagen and fat in our skin depleting. Collagen is the support structure of the skin, so as we lose it, the laxity and tone of our skin is reduced, and lines and wrinkles form.

 

Dermal fillers are made up of hyaluronic acid which we have naturally in our bodies. It sits in the dermis of our skin, and provides us with a plumping effect, and hydration. So, essentially, we are putting the support structure back into the skin. There are many types of dermal fillers available. At The Evergreen Clinic, we use only dermal fillers from the leading manufacturers that have been FDA approved.

 

By using a fine needle, the aesthetic practitioner will administer the dermal filler into the skin and the results you will see will be immediate, with minimal downtime. Dermal fillers are an excellent way of softening existing lines and wrinkes, especially in the lower face. They are also used to treat volume loss and to provide definition by favial contouring, both of which restore the skin’s youthful appearance.

 

Dermal fillers can last up to 18 months, but with subsequent treatment sessions, treatments will last longer. Different dermal fillers are used on different areas of the face – this will be discussed in detail prior to treatment at your consultation.

 

Botulinum Toxin type A

 

Anti-Wrinkle injections.

 

Lines and wrinkles are caused by repetitive muscle movement as we make facial expressions; this is due to the breakdown of collagen and elastin in the area. These are the important supporting structures of the skin. As we age, we do not replace the levels of collagen and elastin as quickly, which leaves us with the visible signs of ageing.

 

Botulinum Toxin A is a treatment that has been licensed for cosmetic use to treat lines and wrinkles. It has been used safely and effectively in medicine for over 30 years.

 

It is a purified protein that is injected into the target muscle using a very fine needle. This temporarily relaxes the muscle activity, which reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in the area, as well as also preventing new lines and wrinkles from being ormed. Common areas to be treated arel around the eyes, frown lines and forehead lines. At The Evergreen Clinic, we also offer advanced techniques which include neck and lower face correction.

 

The effects of this treatment are not immediate and it can take up to 14 days for you to see the full result. The results will usually last between 3-5 months. Bases on clinical evidence, it is recommended that for the first year of treatments, you should have a session every 3 months, in order to achieve the best results. With continued treatments you can expect to see that existing lines will become less pronounced and will soften.
